PEOPLE BRIEFS Nonwoven materials supplier Tech- nical Fibre Products (TFP, Burne- side, U.K. and Schenectady, N.Y.) announced on March 27 that it has appointed John M. Haaland to the position of president. Haaland joined TFP in 2001. In his previous role, VP of sales and marketing, he had responsibility for the strategic growth and development of sales and business operations in the U.S. He has a BS in chemistry from SUNY Oneonta and combines a sci- entifc background with 30 years of sales/marketing experience and 13 years of developing customer rela- tionships. Haaland also will serve as president of TFP's U.S. holding company Tech Fibers Inc. TFP also announced that Robert E. Duvall has been appointed president of Schenectady-based Electro Fiber Technologies LLC (EFT), TFP's fber- coating facility. Duvall had served as EFT's VP of operations for the past 12 years, and had been responsible for developing and implementing fber-plating methods. He brings to the new position more than 30 years of experience in metal-coated fbers.
