compositesworld.com/webinars REGISTER TODAY AT: EVENT DESCRIPTION: Benzoxazine matrix prepregs demonstrate many benefts throughout the value chain in performance, processing and supply chain. Performance improvements include high service temperature, improved fammability resistance and low moisture uptake. Prepregs have been optimized for use in automated processes, including automated tape placement and automated fber placement, and for out of autoclave fabrication. Additional processing advantages include low cure exotherm and reduced shrinkage. Te benzoxazine chemistry is stable at ambient conditions creating the opportunity for shipping and storage at room temperature. Tese multiple attributes create benefts throughout the value chain. PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN: • Benzoxazine (BZ) resin prepreg materials • Supply chain cost reduction • BZ structural performance improvements • Multiple benefts of BZ prepregs • Processing and fabrication of BZ prepregs throughout the supply chain PRESENTERS' BIO: David Leach has more than 25 years experience in composite materials for aerospace applications. He has worked in a variety of roles including research and development, technical support and marketing. His experience includes the development and use of composite materials for a wide range of aerospace applications including aircraf structures, interiors and satellites. His materials experience includes carbon and glass fber-reinforced composites with epoxy, phenolic, cyanate ester and thermoplastic matrices. He received his BSc in physics from Imperial College, London, and is a Chartered Scientist in the U.K. Bryce Floryancic has 7 years of experience in composite materials for aerospace applications. His focus has been in research and development working with epoxy, cyanate ester, and benzoxazine resin systems on carbon and glass fber reinforcements. Bryce received a BS in Chemistry and MS in Polymers and Coatings from California Polytechnic University of San Luis Obispo. Benzoxazine Composites Transform the Prepreg Value Chain It's free.
